Introducing: Lot lookup form

We’re so excited to announce the launch of our Lot Lookup Form! Through this service, you can enter the lot code found on the bottom of your box of Simple Food Project and see all sorts of good information about the production of the food in your very hands.

How To Search

To begin, all you need to do is locate the 6-digit code on the bottom of your box. Then, you can enter that number into our form.

What You'll See

The first thing you’ll get to see is a photo taken from the time your food was made. It’s not been altered, it wasn’t something we ran out to the grocery store to set up perfectly in our photography studio – in fact, it was not even taken with marketing in mind. This photo is a raw snapshot of the ingredients (yes – the actual ingredients) that went into making your box of food.

Raw meat isn’t always the most beautiful or elegant thing to look at, but it’s real and it’s what your dog is getting when he’s chowing down on our recipes. And we just thought you might want to see (with your own two eyeballs) that we’re serious about what we say we put in our formulas. When we say beef, it means beef.

What You'll Read

In addition to seeing your ingredients, we’ll also provide the testing reports for your batch of food. When using fresh food, there’s always a risk of salmonella or e. coli contamination (the produce section of your local grocery store probably issues regular recalls on spinach, apples, and the like – it’s just the peril of having food that’s not processed with a bunch of preservatives!)

To give us peace of mind (and you, too!), we test our recipes before we ship them out to make sure there’s no risk of these contaminants. Dogs often have a much higher immunity to these bacterias than humans, so really these tests are for you (you’re the one handling the food), and for the safety of our production staff.

We’re in the business of being proactive, so we’d rather catch something before it even goes out our doors. And we’re more than happy to let you in on our testing process (in fact, its your right to know this stuff!), because this food affects you and your dog’s daily lives too.

Try it for yourself!

If you’d like to play around with it on your own, have at it. There’s a button in the top right corner of every page of our website. Even if you haven’t purchased a box yet, you can still walk through a sample by simply typing SAMPLE. Happy searching!
